Joan Minsky, Painting
My oil-pastels are usually created from life. I do still life in my studio and paint outside when the weather permits. I have recently started working from photographs as well. My work as impressionistic but I am moving toward abstraction.
My other medium is collage. I work with birch bark and papers. I love texture and earth tones so this new media has been a passionate experience.
