Established in 1986, The Cornelia Arts Building is an all-artist/artisan studio building on the Northside. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of our building owner, John Wertymer, CAB has provided incubator space to local and international artists and artisans for 24 years.
Thanks to everyone who came out for our May 2010 Urbs in Horto exhibit and Open House.
Cornelia Open House events invite you to meet the artists! About 4 times a year, local artists working in a range of media open their studio doors offering visitors a unique opportunity to see how and where art is made. These family-friendly events highlight the contribution of local artists to Chicago's cultural scene.
After a busy year, CAB is ready for some R & R - but we'll be back with more open house events beginning October 2-3, for Chicago Artists' Month, as participants in the 9th annual Ravenswood ArtsWalk.
