Chicago art gallery Eat Paint Studio will be exhibiting work by Cornelia Arts Building Residents in the group show “Where Art Works: Artist Communities and Creative Placemaking“, opening in December. The work that gallery owner Emily Rapport has selected represents a range of building residents’ disciplines.
The exhibit runs from 17 December, 2021 to 21 January, 2022 at Eat Paint Studio, located at 5036 N Lincoln Ave in Chicago’s Lincoln Square neighborhood. The show opening is Friday, 17 December from 6 to 9pm. Click here to view more details.
A special preview of the show is open to visitors on Thursday evening, 16 December, during the Lincoln Square neighborhood’s Shop Late Lincoln December sales event.
The artists featured are Nelson Armour, Doug Birkenheuer, Sara Boyle, Katherine Drake-Chial, Doug Frohman, Beth Kahmi, Jason Messinger, James Parenti, Madeline Shea, Tiphanie Spencer, Tiffany Stronsky, Kevin Swallow, Sharon Swidler, Kathryn Trumbull Fimreite, Kathy Weaver, and Eric Weinstein.
As Eat Paint Studio’s owner Emily Rapport states, the show “highlights the importance of supporting working artists through affordable studio space and professional community.”
