We’re on TV! Watch Cornelia Arts Building live on CBS 2 Chicago on Thursday morning, May 14th. We’ll be featured throughout the morning newscast.

The Cornelia Arts Building is celebrating 40 years in the arts this year, and we’re excited to have the news team from CBS Chicago come by to help us mark the occasion, and to give viewers an opportunity to see what happens inside Cornelia Arts and highlight several resident artists.

While we’ve been in business for the past 4 decades, the Cornelia Arts Building itself is more than a 100 years old and has a rich history, which you can learn more about here. Beginning in 2019, the building underwent a years-long series of interior renovations. Much of the facility was essentially rebuilt from scratch. The result is a beautiful, modern working art and exhibition space, with dozens of new studios that are purpose-built around the artists who use them.

The artists and artisans at Cornelia Arts work in a variety of media, and we feature multiple showcase events throughout the year. Our next building-wide open studios event comes immediately after the CBS broadcast, on Friday evening May 15th, from 5 to 9pm, and Saturday afternoon May 16th, from noon to 4pm. You can find the official event information here.

We’re excited for you to see us on TV, and we look forward to having you as our guests May 15th and 16th at the building.
