Sculpture and Ceramics

Studio Dibs focuses on design simplicity- where the ideals of form and function complement each other to satisfy the need for a usable object. Lead by designer and artist, Clayton Dibble, who strives to be thoughtful and authentic with each project. For me, this allows the material and shape to take center stage. Whenever possible, Studio Dibs tries to work sustainably, with a continued awareness of its carbon footprint.

My passion for art and design, along with collaboration efforts drive a curiosity and experimental side to my work. Drawing influences from the principal elements of Scandinavian design, functionality, simplicity, and craftsmanship remain at the forefront of my practice. Color, texture, and scale often make me giddy when it’s used in clever ways.

Functional ceramics are at the core of Studio Dibs soul. A combo of playful curves, Wabi Sabi details, and surface juxtapositions are often represented in my work. Recently, I’ve been exploring sculpture as a creative getaway from the work of design and function. A little wit and humor are always appreciated as I create, especially if it can produce uncontrollable laughter.
