A man works in his studio. The man is seen on the left in a winter cap, dark green sweater and grey pants with a work table just in front of him. He's facing a large canvas almost as tall as his propped up on a white wall. On the canvas there are rows of old postage stamps he carefully arranges in rows by color to form an overall image of a pattern of colorful rectangles. The photo is taken with a time lapse effect to show the man appearing in a semi-transparent position and then another right next to it.
His mixed-media postage stamp artwork pays homage to his beliefs in the interconnectedness of the universe.
A photo of a mixed-media art piece. Rows of old postage stamps are arranged in groups of 4 squares, each turned at 45 degrees to one another so the overall shape is a giant x or otherwise a squared cross turned at 45 degrees. The colors of the rows of stamps are warm yellows, purple, darke purple, blue, light red that give the image an overall wam color effect.

Jordan Scott is an award winning Chicago based artist and photographer.  His mixed-media postage stamp artwork pays homage to his beliefs in the interconnectedness of the universe and is inspired by theories of the collective unconscious and Scott’s 35 years of traditional martial arts training and teaching. He received a degree in Religious Studies from Indiana University and a Certificate from the Chicago Photography Academy.
